The services we provide include:

• advertising on the Supreme Court of Victoria website in relation to the death;
• liquidation of assets - we notify the various financial institutions, share registries etc of the change of circumstances and complete the necessary forms to transfer the estate assets. We sort out the order in which assets have to be used to pay debts. In some cases this will be set out in the will, otherwise laws prioritize the disposal of assets;
• pay debts;
• invest estate funds into an interest bearing account on behalf of the executor until the estate is finalised to maximise the returns to the beneficiaries;
• arrange for the transfer and distribution of assets into executors/beneficiaries names as applicable;
• if there is a property involved we are able to attend to the lodging of the necessary Land Registry forms to transfer the property into the new entity. We are also able to provide advice in relation to the capital gains tax consequences of leaving the title in the name of the executors as compared with transferring it to the beneficiaries and the timeframes involved;
• “lost super searches” to ensure that there is no “hidden funds” held by the deceased;
• applications under Part IV of the Administration and Probate Act 1958.
